Creative Die Mold: Serving the Plastic Injection Mold Industry
When Creative Die Mold was started back in 1978, the mold building trade looked a bit different than it does today. Creative was just a little contract shop on the outskirts of Chicago, in the up-and-coming industrial suburb of Franklin Park. Back then, contract shops were all that were around.
In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, when the industry was booming, there were mold shops on every street corner. Tool makers could leave one shop, pack up their tools and roll their tool box a few buildings over to find another job with more work and better pay. That is not the case anymore! Today, fewer shops exist—and in a more competitive global market, only the strongest survive.
Creative Die Mold has stood the test of time. With a firm foundation of well-developed customer relationships, strong core values, and happy employees eager to work, we have been able to make it through some of our industry’s darkest days. We have always stood on what we believe in, and here we are, 40 years later a 26,000 square foot, advanced facility, employing over 50 highly-skilled and motivated workers.
Our goal is, and always has been, to provide our customers with such a positive experience, it would be unthinkable to take their projects elsewhere. Here at Creative, we are involved with every project, from design to sampling. Our engineering staff works with each customer, personally dealing with all of their concerns directly—no middle man.
Once the project is approved, the real work begins. All work is kept in-house, in our departments, all under the same roof. From Engineering, to mold base, to polishing and final assembly, everything is done here. This allows us to be in constant contact with each other—and you, our customer—throughout the process, while also enabling us to run at peak efficiency. So much of today’s mold building process centers on “lights out” machining and quick turnaround time. By keeping up with the latest technology we have been able to meet and exceed our customers’ needs, without sacrificing quality.
The industry has evolved, and with it, so has Creative. No longer are we that little contract shop in Franklin Park. We are now a ultramodern facility located in beautiful Glendale Heights IL, where we have been since our move here in October of 1989. We can be easily accessed via Chicago’s, O’hare and Midway airports. For local customers, by vehicle, we are located close to I355 and North Ave.
Getting here is the easy part. Once you are here you will understand what sets Creative Die Mold apart from its competition. We look forward to being your plastic injection tool provider.
